Testimonials

“(Emileigh) is the most compassionate woman I’ve ever met. She leaves all judgement behind to fully connect with her students. I couldn’t help but be fully present with her, she is a safe haven and opened the door for vulnerability by giving some of vulnerable herself to the group. The broom making class was amazing and so grounding! I want to learn more!”

“Emileigh worked so hard at creating the safe space for this group of women. She was both a teacher and supporter of all us and was very flexible dealing with schedule changes or weather changes.”

“I think (Emileigh’s) a natural teacher. She can read the group and know their needs. That’s not easy to learn and she just gets it. She is thoughtful with how she says things and keeping some “control” over the group.”

“I had the opportunity to take not one but two classes with Emily, for a turkey wing whisk broom and a full-size sweeper broom.

What struck me most was the spiritual depth intertwined with each step of broom making. It’s not just about the materials and techniques; it’s about connecting with the essence of the broom, the land, and the ancestors who crafted them long ago. It’s about understanding that these brooms are more than tools; they are vessels of tradition and symbolism. Emily’s teaching style is not only informative but also deeply inspiring and magical.

I left these classes not only with beautifully crafted brooms but also with a renewed sense of connection to the past and a greater empowerment to create my own tools. If you’re looking for an experience that goes beyond the ordinary, I wholeheartedly recommend these classes.

When it comes to the actual brooms I made, the sweeper broom is now about a year and a half old and gets used daily.  She still looks almost new and continues to sweep better than any other broom I have ever used.  One of the turkey wing brooms I made disappeared into my husband’s wood-work shop and he won’t give it back.  Good thing I made two!

If you have a chance to take a class with Emily, whether in person or online, do not hesitate!”
