What are your brooms made of?
Our handcrafted brooms are made of broomcorn, a variety of sorghum. At this time we are mostly sourcing the material from a supplier but are beginning to partner with a local farmer to source our broomcorn within Western NC.
Handled brooms are a labor of love and each stick is carefully selected for uniqueness and durability. Handles are finished with a homemade blend of beeswax and coconut oil.
Do you take custom orders?
Depending on the season, I am open to custom orders. Please reach out to me directly to find out if I am able to take your project on. Lead time is usually 3-4 weeks for customs.
Do you do private classes?
Yes! I enjoy working one-on-one with people to teach my craft. Please contact me for availability and pricing.
Are your brooms just for decoration or can I use them?
Almost all of my brooms and meant to be used. I believe in the power of using beautiful, handmade items in our daily lives. I do from time to time make brooms that are meant to bring beauty to a space or a wall, and are labeled “art” brooms.
Some customers use my brooms for physical cleaning, others use my brooms for ritual/purification. (or both!)
