Join Emileigh for a day of broomcraft and connection!
More than a handcrafts class, Emileigh creates an inviting space to create with mindfulness and intention.
You will make your own full length sweeper broom using broomcorn hurl and stems.
You will have an opportunity to either use your own handle or choose one from Emileigh’s collection. Learn how to tie a broom, stitch it flat, and plait a beautifully woven cap.
Due to the strenuous nature of this craft, I ask that all participants have moderate hand/upper body strength.
We will also actively be using our feet.
This is an intermediate class. Ideally you have some broommaking experience, but I am open to attendees that have general experience in crafting/handwork.
